I’m an applied development economist, with a particular focus on technology, labour, education, and policy macroeconomics, including structural transformation and aid effectiveness.

I work as a Senior Research Fellow with UNU-WIDER based in Mozambique at the Ministry of Planning & Development (Maputo), where I lead the Inclusive Growth in Mozambique programme. I’m also an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen, Department of Economics (on leave for public service).
